UV Light Meter UVA UVB SI240

SI240 is the ultraviolet meter for UVAB intensity measurement. It provides a wide range intensity measuring up to 40 mW/cm2. It provides a back magnetic mount for users to fix and install the meters easily. The UV Light Meter measures long and medium wave UV-A/B light for applications such as forensics, chromatography, electrophoresis and dermatology.

Applications:

  • Health and Safety: UV light meters are used to assess UV radiation exposure in workplaces, outdoor environments, and tanning salons to ensure compliance with safety guidelines and to protect individuals from harmful UV effects.
  • UV-C Disinfection: UV-C radiation is used for germicidal purposes, such as disinfecting surfaces and air. UV light meters help ensure that UV-C devices deliver the necessary UV dose for effective disinfection.
  • Phototherapy: In medical settings, UV light meters are used to monitor UV radiation levels for patients undergoing phototherapy treatments.
  • UV-A and UV-B Exposure: UV light meters can measure UV-A and UV-B radiation, which have different effects on human health and can contribute to skin conditions like sunburn and skin cancer.
  • Material Testing: UV light meters are used in material testing to evaluate the impact of UV radiation on various materials, including plastics, textiles, and coatings.
  • Environmental Monitoring: UV light meters are used to assess UV radiation levels in outdoor environments for ecological and atmospheric studies.

Key Features

  • High and Low measurements range in a unit mW/cm2 or μW/cm2.
  • Backlit LCD and 4 Digits dual display.
  • 20 points memory.
  • Automatic measuring.
  • Socket of tripod mounting.
  • Magnetic mount.

A UV light meter, also known as a UV radiometer or UV irradiance meter, is a device used to measure the intensity of ultraviolet (UV) radiation in a given environment. UV radiation is electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths shorter than visible light but longer than X-rays. UV light meters are particularly important in applications where UV radiation needs to be monitored for reasons related to health, safety, or industrial processes.

Measurement Units: UV light meters measure UV radiation intensity in units such as milliwatts per square centimeter (mW/cm²) or microwatts per square centimeter (μW/cm²).
